In 1982, (aged 40)  Wester Paul Gerrard graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree at Preston Guild Hall - he is seen here with his beloved mother Bertha and his 2nd wife Lynda.

This degree, profile, included The History of Mathematics, Modelling by Mathematics, Electronics, Physical & Organic Chemistry, Computing & Computers and General Science and Technology.

After a very undistinguished primary and secondary education (Princes' Park Secondary - Toxteth) he went on to gain many academic qualifications.
